Common Questions:
How does the API billing work?
All services are billed automatically at the start of the plan month. You will be billed the monthly amount based on the subscription tier you select.
If you upgrade in the middle of a plan month, you will be charged a pro-rated amount based on how much time left in the month there is. You can read more about our api billing policies here.
Do you offer a trial period for paid subscription features?
Yes! Simply sign up for an account, and select the "Business Plan - Trial" option on sign in. This option allows for temporary trial access to all features of the "Business" plan for a period of 21 days.
What plan should I choose?
If you're not sure, we recommend that you start small and work your way up. You can always upgrade as your Weather API needs grow!
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all forms of credit/debit cards, as well as bank transfer for annually paid Enterprise plans. All payment processing/billing is handled by a 3rd party (Stripe). We also can invoice for purchase orders for Enterprise plan users.
What happens if I exceed my plan's quotas?
The Weather API will return a HTTP 429 error, and requests will be denied until the rate quota resets at 00:00 UTC. If a per-second rate limit has been reached, the API will return an HTTP 429 error as well. To monitor your account's present usage, please use our Subscription usage API .
If I don't actively use the API, will I still be billed?
Yes. We don't currently have a use-based pricing. All billing is monthly. You may also downgrade if you find that you are not using the Weather API as much.
